<p>As a not-for-profit Catholic health care ministry, Providence embraces its responsibility to provide for the needs of the communities we serve – especially for those who are poor and vulnerable.</p>
<p>In 2010, Providence offered $198 million in charity care so the uninsured and underinsured could access health care. This charity care is a part of Providence’s total community benefit of $617 million in 2010.</p>
