Helping Families Celebrate Life, Honor Love and Let Go

The stories in this video demonstrate the power of comfort, hope and support. That’s what Providence Hospice of Seattle – a ministry within Providence Senior and Community Services – delivers to those who are suffering or whose lives are in transition. Stepping Stones, Safe Crossings and Camp Erin™ are examples of community benefit programs that support individuals and their families at their most vulnerable times, helping them celebrate life, honor love and find peace as they let go.

Providence has two facilities in/near Pike Place Market. Providence Heritage House at the Market is an assisted living facility and Providence Vincent House is a HUD-subsidized apartment building. The best way to find out about availability and the potential for being placed on a waiting list is to contact the facility directly. Providence Heritage House at the Market’s number is 206-382-4119 and Providence Vincent House’s number is 206-682-9307. Thanks for your interest in our facilities!

What a wonderful short film about these 3 crucial programs!!
We have had the good fortune to be very wonderfully helped through the loss of a grown child and I can never thank the people who worked with us enough.
As mother and father of our son, who died at 35, after 10 years of our 24/7 care – and a 31 yr old younger brother who suffered greatly (but always silently) we felt the care, love and support of all those involved with the regular support groups and more. Hospice gave us an unending amount of one on one help, mailings of consolation and support, and especially the support group called Mothers Tea. For mothers who have lost grown children this was something so valuable and healing that I cannot describe what the 3 years of monthly get-togethers with Jane Fleming and the other mothers in the group did for my recovery and mental health.
Because we live on only retirement fixed income and had pretty much exhausted all our savings on our son, we do not have the means to be the huge donors we would like to be. But we are constantly your biggest fans and love to relate the emotional miracles you have worked on us!

May God Bless you all and your work.
    With love and thanks,
    Mary Lou and Jim Williams
